19th International Workshop of Langerhans Cells and Related Myeloid Cells of the Skin #LC2027
24 July 26
Monday 18th October – Thursday 21st October 2027
We are proud to announce that the 19th International Workshop on Langerhans Cells (LC2027) will take place from October 18-21, 2027, hosted at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Since its inception in Oslo, Norway, in 1984, this biennial workshop has served as the premier international convention in the field of Langerhans cell research and a sister meeting to the international Dendritic Cell (DC) conference.
Over the years, the workshop’s focus has expanded to include related myeloid cells of the skin, especially dendritic cells and macrophages, reflecting recent discoveries that Langerhans cells share properties of both and the need for comparative functional studies. Topics ranging from cancer to infection, allergy, neuroimmunology, and homeostasis are discussed at these workshops, which provide insights of fundamental and clinical relevance.
LC2027 will continue this rich tradition, bringing together the world’s leading experts, the brightest young researchers, and key industry partners for three days of groundbreaking science and collaboration.
LC2027 will foster robust dialogue across disciplines and career stages. The sessions and social events are designed to ensure ample opportunities for young investigators to share their work and connect with global leaders in the field. A social highlight of LC2027 will be a whole day excursion to the Blue Mountains World Heritage site, providing a range of sight-seeing, and bush walking opportunities.
Join us in Sydney for an inspiring and interactive scientific gathering that advances the field of skin immunology and myeloid cell biology.
We look forward to welcoming you to LC2027!
Andrew Harman
LC2027 Chair
