ASDR International Travel Awards

Our newest addition to the ASDR Awards Scheme supports Early-Mid Career Researchers

Rod Sinclair APAC EMCR Travel Award (2026-28)

Purpose

To support EMCR stage scientific and clinician researchers by offsetting the costs of travel to an international dermatology research conference located within the Asia-Pacific region.  ASDR-affiliated society conferences would be prioritised in this award scheme.

Eligibility

• Must be a current ASDR member
  
• Applicants career stage must be one of the following categories:
  
• Early-Mid Career Scientific Researcher with ≤ 7 years post-PhD
  
• Clinical/Dermatology Trainee (Medical Degree with dermatology training)

Application Process

• Applicants must submit their abstract to an international conference located within the Asia-Pacific region, before the stated abstract deadline.  Awardees are selected from the highest scoring applications.

Assessment Criteria

• Applications are assessed according to scientific quality, clarity of abstract and benefit to the awardee. 

Value

• 1 x award for the Scientific Researcher category (valued at AUD 1500) 
• 1 x award for the Clinician-Researcher category (valued at AUD 1500)

The Board reserves the right to not make an award.
